7/13/2017 – On a warm Tennessee Thursday night, 7 AAUW Nashville members and friends met at Nashville’s Cheekwood Estate, Art Gallery and Botanical Garden.  We enjoyed a private tour with a knowledgable docent who spoke to us about both the beautiful Cheekwood Estate (worth a visit in it’s own right) and the traveling Dressing Downton show featuring period fashions and garments from the popular PBS show Downton Abbey.

The tour was fantastic – hearing about the origins of specific outfits, seeing gowns worn by THE Maggie Smith among other show cast members.
