Reminder for anyone on the fence about joining AAUW Nashville.  January is a great time to take the plunge! It’s HALF PRICE TO JOIN!  Please share with any family and friends who may have an interest.

Here are the programs we have lined up in the next few months:

• February 13, 2018 – 7:00 pm – Rory Dicker, Director at the Margaret Cunninggim Women’s Center speaking on feminism in literature
• March 13, 2018 – 7:00 pm – Carole Bucy, Ph.D. History Professor at Volunteer Sate Community College speaking on women’s history in Tennessee
• March 17, 2018 – State Convention, Location TBD
• April 2018 – Thistle Farms Shop Tour and Lunch, Date TBD – We will be asking members to share availability for a Saturday in April (Thistle Farms’ mission is to HEAL, EMPOWER, AND EMPLOY women survivors of trafficking, prostitution, and addiction. We do this by providing safe and supportive housing, the opportunity for economic independence, and a strong community of advocates and partners.  )
• May 2018 – Annual Retreat and Pot Luck – Come share what programs you think we should do in the next year, Date and Location TBD
• June 12, 2018 – 7:00 pm – Laine Walters Young, Vanderbilt University Ph.D. Candidate in Religion, Psychology and Culture speaking on gender and the millennial generation
