Organizers are still developing details for the march, and the event description will be updated soon on the Power Together website.

You can also RSVP to the event organizers on this site.

MEETING BEFORE THE MARCH: AAUW Nashville will meet in the lobby of the Downtown Nashville Public Library, and then walk , together to where marchers are gathering at Public Square.

PARKING: There is a public parking garage adjacent to the library that is secure, reasonably priced, and easy to park in. It’s about a 4-5 block walk to Public Square from the library.

It’s also possible that we could meet at West End Methodist Church at a prescribed time to park in that lot and carpool downtown in a smaller number of cars and share parking fees. We can coordinate at the January 8 meeting.

IN PREPARATION: Plan to join us at West End United Methodist Church, 2200 West End Avenue, on our regular meeting day and time, January 8, at 7:00 PM for a sign-making party. We’ll supply colored markers, but you’ll need to bring your own poster board in whatever size and color you choose. We’ll have some light refreshments too. After all, this is a party, and we’re going to have fun getting ready for the March!

I marched in the same event two years ago, met some interesting women there, had a wonderful day, and felt like this was an excellent way to march for women’s rights. Some women marched with the significant men in their lives, and other women marched with their daughters and granddaughters. The 2017 Women’s March inspired hundreds of women to run, millions more to vote, and dozens to win elected office. Let’s come together and energize this amazing power of women again!
