Nashville’s Frist Museum hosts first-of-it’s-kind female exhibition

The Frist Art Museum in Nashville, Tennessee is now featuring the nation’s first major exhibition devoted solely to the artwork of Native American women. Open September 27 through January 12, 2020, Hearts of Our People features over 115 objects including traditional textiles, beadwork, baskets and pottery, along with painting, sculpture, video and installation art.  All artwork is made by Native American women living in the United States and Canada, from ancient times to the present day.
