March 19 – Women’s History Month lecture at Vanderbilt

Author Joan Marie Johnson will deliver the 2020 Women’s History Month Lecture on Thursday, March 19 at Vanderbilt University. Johnson has written extensively about the history of women’s suffrage, feminism and social activism. Her lecture, titled “Race, Rights and the Woman Suffrage Movement: The Stories of Alva Vanderbilt Belmont, Irene Moorman, and Rose Schneiderman,” will highlight the narratives of several prominent women in the suffrage movement.
